 FAQ'S

+ Do we own our pictures?

Great question! Memories by Madeleine own's the copyright to all images while clients receive personal license to use the photographs for personal use, such as printing, sharing with friends and family, and posting online. Client's cannot give photos to vendors as this is copyright infringement.

+ What should we wear to our session?

I always recommend soft, earthy, and neutral tones — think beige, cream, taupe, rust, dusty blue, or muted pink. These colors photograph beautifully, complement natural light, and help everyone look cohesive together.

A good rule of thumb is to wear lighter colors on top and darker tones on the bottom — this draws attention to your faces and helps keep the overall image balanced and natural.

Try to avoid bright or neon colors, as they can be distracting and may cast unwanted color tones on your skin. Light green is also one to skip — it tends to blend into the tree line or grass, especially during outdoor session,

If you’re ever unsure, I’m happy to help you plan outfits or share a color palette that fits your session location perfectly!

+ How are we supposed to pose?

With nearly 10 years of experience behind a camera, I can assure you you're a natural. It's totally normal to feel a little uncomfortable or dorky in the beginning of your session, but with the power of talking and moving around, soon the poses will feel natural. We will capture authentic and candid imagery you'll be able to cherish for a lifetime.

+ When can I expect my album?

With any session, you can expect to receive a sneak peek album within 24-48 hours of your session. My goal is to deliver your entire gallery within 2-3 weeks from your session. My goal is to deliver wedding albums within 4-6 weeks. Albums will be delivered via email and you will have access to them for 1 month.

+ Do you travel?

Yes, travel within 30 miles of 46074 is included. Additional miles are .65¢  and additional charges may apply depending on location.

+ Is there anything else we should know?

Yes! Before your session begins, we will want to make sure phones, wallets, or anything in a pocket stays in the car to avoid lumpy pockets. I can always hold phone and car keys in my handy-dandy fanny pack. Also, make sure to check your wrists. Do you want wrist ties and watches in your pictures?
